2008 A4 Cabriolet - need advice
I am looking at buying a a4 cabriolet.. what are some things to look for? Am I better off with a 2009? What are the differences? What other questions should I be asking?
does the 2008 a4 have a aux input?

2008 a4 Cabriolet
Mike, I bought a 2009 A4 cabriolet Quattro a year ago - yes it is a b7. Have to say I love it. Find an S-line fully loaded if you can. Get a huge amount of pleasure and find it very beautiful. Don't know if it is very different from the 2008 - don't think so. David

My 2008 has an iPod/phone connector in the glove box, no aux in mine. I just bought a Bluetooth fm transmitter and it works great.
2008 have to check the cam follower. It was updated in 2008 and mine has not worn a bit. Others have stated theirs did wear. Fairly easy to change. Timing belt is at 115k, but many choose to do it earlier (60or 70K). I am at 227k and changed mine at 105k and then at 195k (water pump went bad so I did the belt at the same time). Still love my car although I can feel the turbo starting to lose it's pick up a bit.

Amazed at the 227k - have you had a problem of carbon build up in the valves and high oil consumption? Was told to look out for them, but so far mine is fine.

Nope, been pretty solid. I am getting some oil usage now. Out about half a quart in about every 1k miles or so. Not bad all things considered. Car has been great.
