2008 Audi A4 S-Line Titanium Rear amplifier issues
Hoping that someone else either has had this issue or perhaps has some insight on the matter. After detailing the car the other day I randomly decided to toy around with the fade andbalance of the speakers. This is when I discovered that the rear speakers had no sound output at all. After doing some research I found that the headunit( w/ nav) drives and amplifies the front speakers, while rear speakers have their own independent amp located behind the right rear trunk panel. So I took apart the trunk panel and unplugged the rear amp and plugged it back in, rear speakers are suddenly working again. And I was like awesome I fixed it. Next morning I toy around with the fade and balance again and notice that the rear speakers weren't working again. So I took apart the trunk again and this time I actually the amp out and tweeked the pins on the jack slightly to provide for better connectivity. I thought for sure this would fix the matter in the long term. It worked fine all afternoon. The next morning I toyed with the fade and once again no rear speakers.
So my question, is this common? Could it be a connection issue. Or possibly a amplifier issue. Sometimes if I smack the truck paneling the amp will come on. I've done this twice. So maybe I'm closing the circuit somehow? Maybe its a relay inside the amp that's getting stuck. I mean the amp works, I've proven that. But why does it stop working after only a night? Any help would be great on this matter. It seems like a really easy fix but is somehow prooving to be difficult
