Any thoughts on this? why an 09 has 11 more hp than my 07 2.0t?

 

And a ridiculous amount more torque. Maybe they increased the boost? I know there are other manufacturers with stock 2 liter turbos that put out more than ours.

 

wondering emacpaul if they giac or stasi or a better software and not change the motor or turbo? When i use the S mode i guess that is when i get my 200 hp?

 

Yeah, I'm not sure what they did. But you get your 200 HP any time your RPM is between like 5100-5500, whether it's in D, S, or manual mode. It just generally keeps the RPMs lower in D.

 

from what i know, its actually a completely different engine that is just the same size, but i can't be sure.

 

i'm sure they just changed the air to fuel ratio to make it a bit leaner for the extra power. or maybe an exhaust that's more free flowing.

 

how can a software chip add 50 hp? remapping the ECU can yield you great power gains so my guess is that audi put in a very mild chip and upped the hp to 211

 

esandes.. i guess your correct my friend.. its the exhuast.... if you notice, the b8's exhaust is just a single pipe all the way to the muffler ,its not splitted in two.. i talkin abt the pipe nt the tips.. so that can easily create hp.. just like adding bolt on exhaust or intake.... coz f audi did mild chip tune the b8.. why only 11hp nt atleast 20hp or more?...

 

because when u chip a car u lose the overall life of ur engine cause ur pushing it beyond its factory limits

 

The 09 has the TSFI engine while the 08 has the TSI. The increase in hp/tq could be a combo of the new engine and slightly more boost. Pretty much like they did for the 2001 A4 1.8t which came with 170hp vs the 2000 that had 150hp.
