a4 2.0T BOV + more?
I just purchased a 2007 A4 2.0T / Quartz Color and it only has 7,000 miles. I'm interested in getting a BOV and other modifications that are small to start with. Anyone with a similar 2.0T with a small list of items would be great.
I've done research but now trying to see what people are doing and will match with research. I guess an important question would be whats the best BOV for this car....

audi's dont do BOV's because of their closed loop system but they do diverter valves which are pretty much the same thing and the stock ones are plastic and are known to fail so upgrading it would be a pretty good idea.
The best bang for you buck for the a4's or pretty much all audi's is to get it "chipped" Go with APR, GIAG REVO, those are 3 of maybe 4 or 5 good 1's out there, they'll run you about 400-600$ but u'll get a legit 35-55hp and 40-60torque out of it depending on what octane fuel your running.
Next if your state doesn't have emission laws, I'd put a test pipe on it (its a 2.5 or if ur lucky a 3" pipe that replaces your catalytic converter) and that'll add a few horsepower/make it sound pretty beastly. You can find some for 50-70$ on ebay (I just ordered 1 myself and have no installed it so I dont know how legit they are but I'm soon to find out, they say its a direct replacement and should fit but we know how ebay is) otherwise they can be a little more expensive going through diff companies. You can also go all out with a catback exhaust after that to add some more horsepower.
You also can options for FMIC (front mounted inter coolers), Air intake, HPFP (high pressure fuel pumps) and thats the basics really, there may have been a few I missed but I'm sure u'll be dropiing a few grand just into those so I'd start there.

Why would you want to make your car perform like *** by putting on a BOV? If you have done your research, you would know only Diverter Valves should be used. Read the sticky's up top. That is where all your info is.
agreed... Chip and DV first (get a spacer if you want the pssst sound). Also don't touch the intake. Just get a drop in K&N filter if you wanna do something to it. Then if you wanna do anything else with power get a test pipe or high flow cat and exhaust then stage 2 chip.

A Forge DV Spacer will give you the same sound. So no, an intake and loss of boost pressure is NOT worth it.
I'll sum up what is being said here. When starting to mod the 2.0T, there is a natural progression
1. Software Flash. We sell Unitronic, which has proven gains over competitors. The flash remaps the timing and boost maps to gain horsepower and torque.
2. Diverter Valve. The stock one is prone to failure, and regulating boost becomes a problem.
3. Exhaust (more specifically test pipe/HFC). An exhaust is one of the most restrictive parts in a turbocharged car. Freeing up room behind the turbocharger allows it to "breathe" easier, gaining power and torque.
4. High Pressure Fuel Pump (known as the HPFP). This is used with the factory fuel system to prevent fuel cuts and other issues.
