A4 2.0T Special Edition
I have just bought an A4 2.0T FSI Quattro Special Edition, which makes me extremely happy.
However, I'm used to a Maserati Spyder and am keen to get an ECU remap to get a bit more from the engine. I've read a lot on this very helpful site about this subject, and will soon get a Revo from a local dealer.
My question is about a reset to factory stock. If I go with the remap, and decide to get rid of it later, can I be sure that it will be reset to the Special Edition map (i.e. 220ps), instead of the normal 220?
I've scoured the forums and not found this information, so if I've overlooked it, apologies in advance.
Cheers,
Nik

yeah if u bring it to your dealer they will flash it back to the original ecu map designed for your specific car....i think thats what you were asking?....usually they do it any time you get ur car serviced there also but thankfully most REVO dealers will reflash your car for free provided you have ur original receipt
As far as I'm aware, the standard 2.0T is 200ps, whereas the Special Edition has 220ps. I'm assuming this is just through a remap of the ECU.
For information, I've spoken with Revo who tell me that any dealer can flash the ECU based on the specific car's original spec.
