Any Gotcha's on a 2007/8 B7 2.0T Q w/~50K miles?
Looking at these cars and was wondering if there is something I should know. Like known problems or scheduled maint around this mileage. I owned a 2001TT for example and made sure the timing belt was changed. Anything like that similar to this car? TIA
It's all in the sticky: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b7-...sticky-144534/
Timing belt isn't due until about 100k miles on these cars. Cam follower was given an extended warranty from Audi for 10 years/120k miles.
Personally, I'd avoid the FWD auto. It's a CVT and they tend to be problematic and expensive. Quattro is worth the slightly higher price, the car just handles so much better.

Your best bet is to look at the sticky's above. They have a wealth of info. But basically the coils, cam follower, diverter valve, and PCV valve have all been a source of trouble. Audi replaced my coils, and PCV valves under a service action. I had to spend my own money to replace the diverter valve. Fortunately my cam follower failed with in the 120,000 miles so Audi is going to replace all the damaged components.
