Default Axle pulled out of transmission

Hello, I think I'm in big trouble here... When I was replacing my springs and shocks today the front right axle pulled out of the transmission. I can spin the axle and hub freely from the transmission. I can feel there are grooves (splines?) that the axle goes into in the transmission but I cant get it to fully push back in. It will barely go into the splines but not push all of the way back in. This picture represents what part slid out.

Is there any way to get this pushed back in without major work?

Thanks

If it came out when your dropped the suspension it should go back in without having to remove anything more than you did before, however if it doesn't go back in it might be a case of detaching the axle or dropping the tranny down to put it back in.

Glad to hear it worked out for you, can be a real headache when things don't go to plan.
