Default Blow off valve

http://www.esetuning.com/Forge-Motor...t-polished.htm

Really love the sound of a blow off valve but will this harm my turbo or car at all. Heard people that say the blow off valve hurts their car but is this ok for my car. I have an 08 a4 s-line. Thanks for the help

Or keep what you've got. I'm running the stock DV and I've been chipped for 10k miles now.

Yes. Forge makes a spacer that makes the woosh sound that me and you like so much but still uses a Diverter Valve

That was the spacer he posted.

This is the one you want because it is compatible with the D valve. That is the valve that won't break like the diaphram valves. If you get the wrong spacer it won't fit the D valve. Be warned, these spacers are loud as hell.

Won't hurt you though.

No. The best valve is the OEM "D" Valve. It is a piston design that takes the place of the Diaphram design. More responsive and best of all it's the cheapest. http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...alve/ES263879/

It you did not know, all the aftermarket valves require them to be opened up and maintained. Not worth it and no better performance. You must use the spacer I listed if you use the "D" OEM valve.

Hello, I've just purchased my first Audi and my first ever turbo car. Just picked up a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T and would also like to hear the turbo sound. From reading this thread I've decided to go with purchasing the OEM "D" valve along with the forge spacer. You mentioned the oem D valve doesn't require maintenance...does the forge spacer require periodic cleaning? If I were only to purchase the d valve OR jsut the spacer would i hear the equivalent of the BOV sound? does adding both increase the sound? additionally, i'm thinking about chipping the car as i read that that gives u the most bang for your buck. however, i've read that if you were to chip it you should upgrade the diverter valve. would this oem D valve suffice as an upgrade if i were to chip it...or would i have to purchase another one? thank you so much for all the info provided!!
