I don't think they ever stuck a CVT to a quattro.

you dont need a vin...just punch the gas and if it doesnt go right away it is a cvt :-)

was trying to burn rubber in my driveway on a slight hill and that is what happens. when i am on the road no issues with the cvt taking off but when you punch the pedal at higher speeds the CVT and TURBO rocks!

quattro = no cvt
6 speed auto = no cvt
7 speed auto = cvt

non awd = cvt

cvt = fail

i like mine too and will see how it does over the lifetime i will own it. why this gets a bad rap not sure and if mine craps out will get on the band wagon to hammer audi however until that time like emacpaul i love it :-) why cause it improves mpg over a standard auto...right???

Yeah. If you like changing gears manually, obviously CVT is not for you. But it's real smooth after you learn how to drive it right. And I like the feature where you push the pedal through the first stop and it holds at 5200 RPM while you accelerate! I think the only real disadvantage is if you're wanting to put down 400+ HP. Then you need a manual tranny.
