Is this car good for a first car?

That is the car I would like to get but I'd like to get for my first car but I'd like to know if it's good for a first car.

Do you have a good job? I've spent around $3-4k in repairs/maintenance the last year on my 2006 with about the same mileage (including the timing belt job).
I see this question enough that I should have a standard response ready to go. Really need to check out the car, and if you are not so inclined, have a mechanic give it the once over. If it is a good one it would be a great car. If it is a bad one it is going to cost you money. That is is true of any car approaching the 100k mile mark. King is right that the timingbelt/water pump is going to need to be replaced in the next 20k or sooner miles. Mine was just over $900 at an independent shop. I spent about $500 on my car over the last year repairs/maintenance. My car has been very solid for me. The biggest expense with an Audi (or other performace car) is the oil changes. Costs me $100+ each time I change the oil as it requires full synthtic(spl?).

the timing belt is not due until 104k on that car. I know I have one with 190k miles on it.
As previous posters said, I will echo the same. IF you buy an audi nearing 100k miles make sure they sell you a warranty with it because tons of expensive stuff will start to go wrong. Plus who knows how the previous driver treated the car? Did he/she put premium gas in it ALWAYS. DId theybeat the living daylights out of the car.. The good news is the car is white so most likely it was owned by a woman. WOmen dont abuse their cars unless they are danica patrick.

Nope. Audi changed the recommended interval back to 75k miles a couple years ago. In either case, it's 75k miles or 7 years and on a 2006, if it hasn't been changed or you can't verify it has, I wouldn't risk it.
Weird, my 2008 is 115k for the belt. Guess they must have made some improvements that extended the change period. I also do not have the cam follower issue so I guess I lucked out buying the 2008 model over the 2006 I was also considering.
