My 2006 a4 2.0T showed that code today. Had it for a couple of months now and havent gotten around to doing the stickys. The wastegate on my turbo makes a rattling noise so it seems to be my turbo. Very noticible loss of power/ low boost. I'm going check my DV before i change my turbo even though i still have to change it anyway. Anybody fixed the issue with the code???

Well my CEL error code was because of a bad PCV. Cost $140 to change for parts and labor. As far as the wastegate rattling, i'm going to get it checked out soon

 

I just changed my DV and the car runs way better. The old version of the DV came apart when we switched it. Now for some reason I got the check engine light. Not sure why? The car feels better? Any idea why?

 

Did you clear the codes? Do that and if it comes back, post the code. If it's P0299 again, you only fixed part of the problem with the DV. You will either have to track down a leak or you have a sloppy wastegate (it hurts, but the best solution to that one is a new turbo).
