You need an ECU flash. The 02 spacers rarely work. Spend the money on the chip and since you are catless you can go straight to stage 2 now.

No.

Why remove the cat without the flash? There is not that much power with the cat alone. You are modding in the wrong order for sure.

German = Cheap = lol.

Actually our cars are probably one of the cheapest mod paths out there for 60-70hp easy.

i dont feel like spending the 600 that goes with buying the APR set. i just need fix to clear the code. Ive modded cars before i know the order but it also depends how much money you would like to spend and what outcome you want so please dont lecture me about the order that i should be modding

Might as well get the flash. Whats the fun in having a car that now has a big equiment/emmissions violation if you're not going to get much extra power in return.

No lecture here buddy. Just trying to help your code issue. So the final answer is no until you decide to get chipped. You then run the risk of missing a real harmful code if you run it like this.

I believe disconnecting your battery for a few minutes will clear the code. You can also buy a vag-com cable on ebay for ~$20, and using the freeware version check and clear codes.

Of course, it will come back again in a couple days.

Yeah thats an option as well. But that will keep the codes coming back. I would hate for him to miss a real cade that could damage the engine because he rode around ignoring the light. You have to pay to play or risk damage to the car. Im sure the car is running an improper fuel mixture right now as well as the computer will still fuel it as if a cat was there.

yeah i would bet $100 that you get no performance improvement removing a cat from a stock audi. FYI, ricer mods don't work on the audi stock engines.
