i dont really want to spend that money to get the flash. is there any way that i can just as a cheap fix?

No.
Why remove the cat without the flash? There is not that much power with the cat alone. You are modding in the wrong order for sure.
German = Cheap = lol.
Actually our cars are probably one of the cheapest mod paths out there for 60-70hp easy.

i dont feel like spending the 600 that goes with buying the APR set. i just need fix to clear the code. Ive modded cars before i know the order but it also depends how much money you would like to spend and what outcome you want so please dont lecture me about the order that i should be modding

I believe disconnecting your battery for a few minutes will clear the code. You can also buy a vag-com cable on ebay for ~$20, and using the freeware version check and clear codes.
Of course, it will come back again in a couple days.

Yeah thats an option as well. But that will keep the codes coming back. I would hate for him to miss a real cade that could damage the engine because he rode around ignoring the light. You have to pay to play or risk damage to the car. Im sure the car is running an improper fuel mixture right now as well as the computer will still fuel it as if a cat was there.
