Coming Up on 100,000 miles
Hello,
My beautiful A4 2.0T is going to be turning 100,000 miles soon (at 96600 now) and, fingers crossed, I haven't had any major issues. I've had all the services done pretty close to when they should have been and it's treated me just wonderfully. I'll continue to put on more than the average miles per year for however much longer I own it and I was wondering if anybody can let me know what I should pay particular attention to with this many miles on the engine?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Misty

Timing belt job at 110k miles, not a bad idea to do it a little early because of the interference motor, if the belt breaks, your looking at an engine rebuild which isn't cheap. The timing belt itself isn't cheap either...lookin at about 1200-1500 if dont at the dealer, slightly cheaper if dont by an indy.
I trade mine in at 100k with the CPO warranty running out. These German cars scare the hell out of me if something were to break and not ne covered. I'd think long and hard about keeping it unless you are prepared to pay for a major repair.
i too am comming up on that mark myself..// and im keeping the car. cuz im paying for a house and other things rather than get a new car. the timming belt is a def. 110k or sooner... dealer wants about 1100 for a 2.0t. i found 3 indy shops in my area that said they will do the exact same thing the dealership does.for 600. thats more than slightly cheaper..... and it is an shop where the specialize in audi so i think its safe, gonna get there in the next 5k ....and i agree with everyone saying. if u dont have a warrent.... it can cost u...exactly its not a cheap car... but if u dont beat it. and u keep good on the service. i dont think youl have major probs. granted audi s do have things go wrong and one wrong thing might not b cheap to fix,,, but if u actually take care of your car......your engines not just gonna go explode for no reason,,,,,or maybe a different type of warrenty will give u pice of mine......... 06 2.0t had it new........ warrenty ran out at 50k....... ive never had to replace anything besides a pvc valve......i am in the east coast and i have gone accross the county more than twice....idk
