Default Considering getting an A4, please help

Hello all,

I am considering getting a 06-07 Audi CPO A4. I am new to german luxury cars so my biggest concern is maintenance costs that's not covered under warranty.

How much do oil changes usually run and how often? Do you have to take it to the dealer?

What could go wrong between 30-100k miles? For an example, if there is a warning light on the dash, do you have to have the dealer reset it everytime after the maintenance is performed even on your own?

Thank you.

all i know is that u can do oil changes yourself........its easy and you dont need to lift the car up if you use oil extractor.

You're supposed to change the oil every 10k miles or 1 year. I got the 3 year maintenance plan with mine, so I'm not sure how much it costs, but to change it yourself is probably about $50. You just need to get fully synthetic VW 502 approved oil.

most people recommend 5k intervals......10k is too much

oil extractor is about 50 buck (if u wanna use one)
audi oil filter drain tool is also 50 bucks (dont have to use it, but i highly recommend)
and then u got 10-15 bucks for filter + 4 quarts of oil.
