Default Cost of my 55k SERVICE

Well Audi care ran out and paid my first bill at the dealership. the 55k service cost 454 dollars (Alabama). Not too bad for those of us who dont or want to make the time to do it ourselves...comments? about 45 bucks in maint cost for every 1,000 miles you drive. to get to 95k miles it will cost me over 2k. Car seemed to run as well as it always has...I forgot to tell them to show me the plugs cause i like looking at em since they can tell a story from the color and deposits on em.

My dealer was gonna charge close to that. Told them no way, just change the oil. So they did and only charged $45, yet they did almost everything else the manual recommends except the plugs and air filter.

The dealer in portland prints up everything they do on your reciept. I compared that to the list of things the manual recommends for the 55,000 service. They hit most of em.

I would not own one of these cars any other way. Although I have had good luck with my german cars, they are so damn expensive if you have any failures. My B6 a4 cost like 6 or 700 to replace a CV axle at the dealer. I felt like they really lubed me as I bent over. Gotta pay to play I guess.

most of the things they do (in the manual) you can do or have a local mechanic do for alot cheaper.... i only use audi for oil changes ....plus its good to go there cuz they always check out your car reguardless of a service interval....mostly changin filters and things ...chargin you an arm & a leg... your drivin an audi they think your rich lol
