Default Engine starts and turns off automatically

Hi guys,

Firstly I am new member to this forum, sorry if I am on the wrong topic.

I have a problem with my audi a4 2.0 TDI - year 2005.

In the morning when I start the car (engine), it immediately turns off after 2-3 seconds. It happens only in the first time when I start the engine. In the second time, it starts good and it doesn't shut down anymore. This issue started after I did engine and fuel pump replacement. The new engine is in a good condition

A help would be appreciated a lot! Thank you

This is a flat out guess so take that into consideration. To me it sounds like your fuel system is losing pressure and the car starts with what little fuel is left in the throttle body. It then starves for fuel and dies. In the time that all happens the fuel pump is finally able to bring fuel back to the engine and it lets the car start and run. Might pressure test the fuel system. Remember, just a guess on my part.

Hi rhodes. Thank you very much for your time and your reply

It seems like you were right. It has something to do with fuel pressure

When I park the car in the down position, it powers up with no issue, so the engine doesn't shut down...it stops now only when i park my car in the normal position
