The EPC light came on when I was driving in town. I pulled over to check the manual and shut off the engine. saw what the manual said and started the car. Too a couple of turns to catch but it started and the Check Engine light cam on. What do you think the problem is and am I in for a big bill?

You need to plug a scanner into the diagnostic port and get the code to better understand what the problem is. Stop at an autozone and have them check it for free.
