Eye lids
After finding a set of "eye lids" on eBay for $65 bucks I sent a pm to the seller asking him why they were so expensive. He told me that they were quality parts and not cheap knockoffs. I saw real carbon fiber eyelids at waterfest for $30 bucks I think (I should have grabbed them). Well these on eBay are black unpainted parts....
So as the moder that I am I decided to try and make my own out of stuff I had around the house. Here is what I have so far:
I made a rough template out of cardboard and cut it out.
after several attempts I was able to transfer my cardboard to thin Plexiglas (took it off one of my girls framed pictures ssssssshhhhh). I tried several times to cut it out but it just kept breaking. I figured out that if I scored and snapped it off in a straight line then used my grinding wheel for the rounded part it worked much better. (6th try!)
I sanded down the back side and masked them off. sprayed them black and used 3m adhesive to stick them to the lights. I made sure they were flush to the lights and followed the body lines.
Over all not the look I was going for so I pulled them off. What the hell, nothing ventured, nothing gained.!

yeah, they are not that bad at all... as good if not better than anything else i've seen out there... and i like it cuz they aren't too big and dont take up a huge amount of the actual light which is nice...
what do you guys think about angel eyes?

yeah thats true... but i figured with the new models coming with them stock and audi's dont tend to have them that it would be something a little more unique. plus i saw a tuner site that sold a kit that looked pretty good but ill need to invest some more time into checking it out when i get back home. and unfortunately i have it saved on my laptop at home so i can't link it to you guys until the weekend
