Fuel Mileage Malfunction
#11
I think you are fine....The computer not only takes into account how much gas you have in the tank but also the driving style you have, I'm not sure exactly what their algorithm is...I do remember reading somewhere that it recalculates it every 6 miles or something...Go out and drive your car like a bat out of hell for about 10 mi and you will see the number drop and then go take your car on the highway or somewhere where you can cruise and you will see it go up, its not because your car just got more gas, its because it is a calculation to determine mileage and not simply X litres/gallons = X miles....Most of the time I fill mine up it says 780km, but I have had it say as high as 820.....Cheers!
500mi=800km, seems pretty normal, next time I fill my car up I can change the display to miles and take a picture to show you, I drive mostly highway so mine usually displays a high number...

Mine also goes this high. Anytime I fill up the tank, it goes up to 450-500 miles, as the tank gets lower on fuel, the reading generally gets more accurate. I end up getting around 420 miles per tank with my driving. If I took it easy and stayed on highways, I could get 450ish. So yeah I think everything is fine. Its just a rough estimate based on fuel in the tank and how you drive, so you cant expect it to be perfect.
