I am getting ready to remove my Tail Lights and have them painted in black. I found online on how to remove them, and it should not be a big deal. However, I tried to find it online how to remove the side markers and i could not find anyone that showed or explained on how to do it. As on some forums people are saying that you have to remove it from the inside. You have to remove the plastic between the wheel and the bumper and remove it that way, while others are saying that you can just press one end in and pop them out.

Has anyone done this? What is the right way to do it? Please see the attached picture as I have marked what I am talking about.
