Default Is this how a B7 engine is supposed to sound?

This is a 2005.5 A4 Avant with 75,000 miles I was looking at buying. We just sold our 02 A4 1.8 and are looking at B7s..Is this normal sounding for the 2.0T? If not, any thoughts on what may be wrong?

Based on that vid it sounds pretty normal to me. FSI injectors are under very high pressure and thus sound almost like a diesel. This allows a 4 cyl turbo to produce power like a v6 and maintain good mpg.

its hard to tell if you phone is amplifying the ticking noise more than it should normally sound.

but yes.... the 2.0T in the B7 is probably the loudest engine at idle

The V6 is FSI as well. But your right on the MPGs........ its always about the MPGs, MPGs sell cars now a days

True, I meant "other company's" v6's I guess.
