I would double check with the dipstick first, could be a faulty sensor.

If it is the sensor then change at the same time as oil as it is located in the oil pan.

 

So I went to firestone and they topped the oil he said it was okay, right after I left I get the check engine light "the MIL", could it because they didnt add synthetic oil to it?

and my windows stopped rolling down automatically, they really screwed me this time!!

 

I doubt very much adding oil, whether it was synthetic or not, is going to light the MIL. You need to get it scanned To really find out what the complaint is. Also you should read the owners manual, so you can take care of the car properly.

 

You need to scan the car to find out why the MIL light is lit. It maybe an electrical fault if the windows have stopped operating automatically (open fully, close fully to reset back to normal), maybe they disconnected the battery but then the time should've been reset too.

 

as for oil usage/burn off, i used mobil 1 0W40 on my last oil change and havent needed to add any oil since then (3k-4k miles). i know every engine is gonna be different but this oil def. made a difference for me.
