I bought an S-Line spring/shock/strut combo. Is it worth the hassle?

Default I bought an S-Line spring/shock/strut combo. Is it worth the hassle?

From what I have found through searching forums, the SLine springs would lower my 07 A4 about 20mm (.8 inches). Is this accurate? I found a set of S Line springs, shocks, and struts that were taken off at 22k miles. My A4 has 81k miles. Is it worth the hassle of putting on OEM S-Line pieces, or should I just wait till I have H&R or Eibach pieces?

My car is 100% street driven and family friendly.
But I would like a slightly lower look, and would love to swap in some RS4 wheels some day.

Oh, and is there an easy way to identify the S-Line springs & shocks?

No opinions or past experience with this?

S-line shocks are a reddish-brown color. Not sure about the springs. I have an s-line and love the stance. You can get that same look (or lower) with after market kits. Depends how low you would like your car to sit. If yu got a decent price then might as well toss them on.

Yeah, $75 on Craigslist. Struts and shocks are red/brown. Gotta assume the springs are legit too. They look to be in great condition. I believe the 22k miles.

Just how much of a difference will this make to the way the car feels? It won't be TOO stiff I assume. It was an OEM suspension after all

My car does not ride like an old wagon with no suspension. Not sure what the comparision would be to a stand A4. I find my ride comfortable while not being soft. I have taken my Audi on a five hour roadtrip and was comfortable the whole way.

I would guess body roll in corners would be the most noticable change just based on the ride height of a standard to an s-line.

Does it lower it enough to notice a difference?

When you look at an S-line next to a standard I think it is a noticable difference. In the end it just depends on how low you want the car to sit. With aftermarket kits you can control that to some extent. I like the stance of my car a lot better than the standard stance.
