Default Insurance question

Has anyone had experience insuring their car through Liberty Mutual. I decided to look around just for the heck of it and was wondering what others thought. Liberty Mutual has some type of Premier service for owners of Audi, VW, BMW and a couple of other upper end brands, that gives extra benifits such as, towing to nearest dealer, instead of nearest garage, genuine replacement parts, instead of only covering the cheaper non manufacture parts and forcing the owner to pay extra for genuine parts, and a few other items I can't remember off hand. The price of the policies seem reasonable too. Just wondering if it seems to good to be true.

This comment is not going to help, but that sounds badass . It makes logical sense to offer those services for luxury cars, because they are going to have a low probability of breaking down. BRILLIANT!

I'm skeptical of their "premiere" service. I get all that with State Farm without paying extra. State Farm will ONLY write repairs for OEM parts (no matter the make/model). I haven't had any experience with their towing (our Jeep was quite drivable), but the repair process was pretty painless and very well-handled.

After I posted, I talked to my State Farm agent and was told something similar about original parts. The 1-800 number though was very vague. They basicly said "what ever was available for the repair shop.", and could not guarentee, oem parts. The language the rep read from, gave plenty of wiggle room to allow non oem parts. I have had to have my previous cars fixed and yes the process is pretty easy if you choose one of State Farms partner shops. And I was always very upfront to the repairshop that if any non oem parts ended up on my car, hell hath no furry like me when I am mad, and they would be redoing the repairs.

This last time, I went outside their SelectService network of shops and it was still pretty painless. I don't remember their official name for the place, but we have one of their drive-in State Farm centers here where they cut you a check on-site for the full cost of the repair (minus any deductibles that apply). Their check was even a bit higher than the initial estimate I got from the body shop. All in all, after my experience with them, I'm not interested in switching insurance companies even if it saved me a few bucks.
