hello I'm trying to replace the interior lights on my 2005.5 a4 and needed some help wit the bulb sizes/types. I want the replace the four maplights in the front and two overhead ones in the back. I know two in the front are the festoon. I'm buying the LEDs from superbrightleds.com. Any feedback is appreciated.

 

if you buy LEDs make sure you buy resistors as well because i believe the lights in the a4 are standard bulb lights and not LEDs so if you make the switch....which is totally possible you just need a resistor for every "set" or circuit of LEDs you are running because they operate differently from a standard bulb

Angfang, let me know how changing the bulbs goes and if you could post some pics that would be great because i have also been wanting to change my interior bulbs too... have you thought about replacing the 2 red lights that shine down on the center console to brighter red leds?

but the guide doesnt mention about the bulb size/type except for the one under seats (which i dont plan on doing).. and the sylvania number for the map light doesnt cross reference wit the led map light.. idk i have to do some more research but im still checking here for more advice..

yeah ill have to try that as well, but i dont know if i want only red leds otherwise if im trying to read directions or something i wont be able to see very well, or are those just the lights that come on when you open the doors?

Hey, I actually found that same page on that adelphia thing, and want to do the same thing to my 2003 A4.

I found two lists, one on that sylvania site, and another elsewhere ( http://www.modifiedlife.com/2003-aud...-size-diagram/ ), and the list goes:

Glove Box Light Bulb Size: 2825
Map Light Bulb Size: 64111
Dome Light Bulb Size: 6411
Step/Courtesy Light Bulb Size: 2825
Trunk/Cargo Area Light Bulb Size: 6418
Under Hood Light Bulb Size: 6411

Does anyone happen to know how *many* I should order and what the conversions are to LED bulbs? I'd really like to get some with internal resistors, if possible.

The closest I can think is:

Glove Box Light Bulb Size: 2825 (1?)
Map Light Bulb Size: 64111 (4?)
Dome Light Bulb Size: 6411 (2?)
Step/Courtesy Light Bulb Size: 2825 (8??)
Trunk/Cargo Area Light Bulb Size: 6418 (2, lower back and upper top?)
Under Hood Light Bulb Size: 6411 (I don't even know where this bulb is located, though it would be nice to have)

So really I need (guessing here) 9x2825, 4x64111, 2x6411 converted to LED light bulbs. Off to google I go, any help here is appreciated though!
