Cool Just did the suspension! Woo-ha!

Just got the alignment done at Audi today, and did the H&R touring cup kit myself at home. Also put on an RS4 22mm rear sway bar. Just got the Nitto Invo's in the mail today and they are going on tomorrow, bright and early. So far, with the shotty Pirelli's that the previous owners had put on it, it's a night and day comparison. Ride is about as close to factory that I've felt from most other lowering kits and it has gone from having horrid oversteer to a VERY neutral feel. Can't wait to put the tires on. Hells yeah. Sorry, just real happy with the turnout.

Where about did you get your H&R kit? Were you happy with the transaction and price?

Oversteer?...Your entire review lost its credibility with that one word. Since when do our cars have oversteer. Let me guess, I bet you even drive a FWD...

Alright, jackass; my apologies. It was a typo. I was baked as hell and meant to type understeer. Thanks for the reality check, though. Did someone just **** in your cheerios or could you have maybe, I don't know, said that a little better?

By the way, mkraft, I got the kit at allsprings.com. They had the best prices that I could find. Plus they actually had them in stock (some other sites didn't).

Yeah...my bad. Clemson had just choked to MD in a football game which is about the equivalent to someone pissing in my cheerios.

It just seriously baffled me that someone would be praising a LACK of oversteer in a car that has tons of understeer...cheers.

It's all good, man. -tips his cup- But I tell you what: after riding with it for a few days, there is a little too much of a jarring ride, with a little bounce going down the highway. I spoke to a few people around the area that have a good bit of experience with H&R's product and they said that there is a slight possibility that they got the part numbers mixed up and may have sent me shocks from an A3. They suggested this because they were doing a suspension from H&R for an A8 and received part numbers for an A6 - not realizing that until after installation and a crappy ride. They referenced the part numbers with H&R and found the problem.

Or it could be that my *** is sensitive...

Well I would have to think that an A3's suspension would ride terribly in an A4. I would imagine the spring rate would be less due to the lighter weight car and therefore the ride would be 'bouncier' and not rougher.

If you got the correct parts for your car, the car should have a stiffer feel to it. The H&R's lower your car and therefore give you less suspension travel. To make up for the lack of distance that your car can travel and yet absorb the same amount of energy, the spring rate is increased. You get better handling and poorer ride quality. The same principle can be applied to the RS4 sway bar. There will be some ride quality sacrificed for the structural rigidity that is gained in the car. Both of these losses in ride quality would combine to create a very noticeable difference.
