Did this actually make any difference in power or sound?
i want to know too, since i doubt i'll be spending $375 on a APR intake.

I just want something to add a little more accent to the DV

As far as power and sound, I have not noticed any difference. I think that it must allow more air to flow because its less than half the size of the stock filter.
I am just glad to know that its there!

I thought the same thing until it finally just fit. It takes some adjustment but it fits. It may be my imagination but I seem to hear a higher pitched sound now at really high RMPs.

ok sorry to bring this back up again but im kinda annoyed right now... so i sent the air filter back to the place where i bought it from cuz it was about 1.5 inches shorter than the stock one even tho the box said it was the 33-2209... and today i got the new one and i have the same problem... not i dont know if they have made the exact same mistake which seems really doubtful, which now leads me to thinking that the i have the wrong part number, now some ppl have said that 33-2209 is the right model number but i am now thinking that perhaps the 2005.5 A4 has a different air filter than the 2006-2008 A4's which seems wierd cuz its a b7 and not B6 but perhaps possible...

can anybody help me out cuz i dont want to have to keep sending these filters back to this place and keep wasting money on shipping. The new filter that i got is about 1.5" shorter length wise than the stock one, which really doesnt seem like its right at all

snap some pictures of the two filters so we can see what you are talking about. I know my new filter was half as THICK as factory filter, but length and width was the same.
