Default Looking At a B7 A4

Hello. I own a b5 a4 2.8 and am looking at an 05.5 a4 2.0t, manual w/ 21k on it. I am probably going this weekend to look at it. Is there anything I should look for? He's selling it for $16.5k

save more money and get 2007 or 2008. 1. you will have warranty 2. by 2007-2008 audi fixed some glitches (its never a good idea to get first year production car)

What are some of the problems with the 05.5? Are they major? It seems like a good price (around $3k less than blue book). Should i ask for a lower price than?

i am new to audi. but check out this forum for more info:

you should be looking to pay anywhere between kbb trade-in and private party value. i would say PP value is the highest you should consider.

Default Reliability

Joe, for better info, check this page and scroll down to the bottom where you can see a consumer reports outline of the year models... 2005.5 was NOT the first year model as someone else suggested.. I have a 2006 A4 and it came with another year of free scheduled maintenance AND an extended warranty... Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies guys. I was looking more for stuff to look for on the car before I buy it, and not so much the reliability down the line.

i dont think there is much to look for except maybe oil leaks. its just 2005-2006 can (not will) cause problems down the line when it hits 50k+ miles.
