Default looking into purchasing a 2007 audi a4

Hello, I'm looking into trading my 06 cobalt in for an audi a4. I figure I come here and hear owners opinions of the vehicle. I keep hearing that it's a money pit and that they have electrical issues all the time. Thank yall in advance for yalls information.

I think the electrical problems occur in the older model Audi's. These newer ones I haven't heard much banter on any electrical problems. Just like any other car they will have issues though at some point. They're good cars. The Quattro is unmatched. Fuel mileage is very good as well (I get 25-27 average city, 31 hwy). The 2.0T's have some ***** but it's not the fastest car in the world (faster than your cobalt I'd wager). But the only downside is, if and when something breaks, you'll be paying premium price to get it fixed because it's a german luxary car. BMW, Mercedes, Volvo etc are all going to be expensive to repair.

I've had mine 2 years now and I love it, haven't had any huge money pit issues. I've put about $300 into repairs over the two years, and that's only preventative repairs like the PCV revamp, diverter valve, and cam follower. I got lucky though, my car was very well taken care of before me and now it's babied still. Hopefully some other owners will chime in with their experience.

Replaced my brake rotors&pads to a mid grade option, cost me $370(did the work myself). My timing belt w/water pump was around $1000.(stealership done with warranty)I change my own oil,BIG saving there.Like MHoward said, the Quattro is unmatched.DO NOT consider the FWD or CVT.(You may as well purchase a VW)
You'll pay a third to half MORE to maintain than a domestic. But the amenities are night and day BETTER.The 07 and newer is the way to go.And the 2.0 is,I feel, better than the 3.2.These posts and the stickies at the top are a wealth of information.I joined after purchasing my vehicle.
(really not a bitchfest like it may seem)
Good luck with your choice!!
