To Lower or not to lower?
OK, Eveyone...please help me out here.... I have done some things to my car and was thinking about lowering it. I was going to bring it down 1". I have the springs already, but not sure if its worth it. My 07 A4 has the standard suspension so lowering it 1" would give me the S line sports look. I'm hoping. I look at my car and feel as if the back end is way the hell up in the air. But I have a few friends that don't think I'll really be able to tell the difference with the 1". Please give me your opinions as I was going to take it in on Wed. and have it done. Thanks in advance!!
i think you should have it done personally... 1" might not seem like it will affect it that much, but when its on, you should be able to notice that it appears that the wheel well is more filled out... second of all you will get a much more sporty ride and the lower center of gravity will help you take corners at a higher speed etc
i would say if you have already spent the money on the spring, you might as well go ahead and put them on

I agree also but looking for some opinions... Thanks!!! So, as I'm reading around I see that everyone says to replace your shocks as well... but I really can't see how lowering my car only 1" will kill my shocks that soon. I have a hard time believing that the current shocks can't handle it..anyone? Thanks!
harryd14,
I just talked to one of the mechanics at the local Audi shop and he said they have put the sport springs on many A4's and A6'es with no problem. Maybe the shocks will wear a bit sooner but nothing like blowing out or anything. He knows 2 people with 20,000 miles on their cars with sport springs and no problems yet. So I booked my appt. and going to go for it. Good Luck!
