MPG Calculator question

The calc seems to be waaaaaaaaay off...

It says I am getting 35-37mpg, but doing the actual math it's about 26-27...26-27 isn't BAD, but why is the calc sooo far off?

That's strange... is the odometer accurate? I compared my MPG display against tank fill ups, and it's within probably 3%.

odo is accurate...I have taken trips and checked on google maps and compared and it's withing miles of what is should be and what I did.

my a4 only calculates the mileage left on a tank of gas...kind of annoying since i have to manually calculate my mpg. for me that is duplication since every car has a fuel meter!
