Found some used Neuspeed lowering springs for my 2006 B7.

Questions:
1) it is wise to buy used springs?
2) will comfort ride seriously be compromised?

need feedback ASAP!

Thanks

answer to #2) yea ur gonna notice a stiffer more ....umm feel for the road, if your using springs alone, your on ur stock struts that are designed to up and down toa specified amount, the new lowering springs reduce this amount and so u have a stiffer ride, dont get me wrong its not uncomfortably unpleasant just stiffer, cracks in the road u feel, pot holes will feel like hell, and things like that but all in all its not a terrible option if you like the way it looks after

As to buying used springs, most of them warranty them for as long as they're owned by the original owner, so you probably won't have a warranty still, but springs generally are capable of lasting a very long time. I wouldn't worry about it.

I have Neuspeed Sports on my GTI and love them. Mine were used, THey will even be broken in a little more as springs tend to settle to the proper height. As long as the drop is not mre than 1.5 or 1.7 inches or so, stock struts will be fine as long as your mileage is not too high on them. Your ride quality will suffer by probably 15% on tame springs to 30% or so on aggressive ones.

Find a friend with the same lowered car and ask for a ride to sample.
