Could it be the coil pack issue? Not sure, I'm just thinking aloud.

Coil packs, Camfollower. If Audi is at a loss either they are stupid or playing games. Has he had the coil pack recall done?

Good advice is to read the sticky's up top on any new forum you visit. My sticky has tons of info. This has been covered many times and i'd put my money on one of those. 1st choice is Coils.

I don't know, when I had coilpack failure it would stutter fairly significantly, when under load. And there was a flashing CEL simultaneously. A coilpack failure should register an error code.

Any possibility of the fuel filter being gummed up?

Check the coilpacks and it could very well be the maf sensor... not accelerating and the car shaking is a typical sign for both
or like people mentioned something's wrong with the turbo but i am nto sure why the car would be shaking though

on my VW when my 1st coil went out it stumbled under load so bad I really thought it would not make the dealer trip. Felt like I had 50 hp.

2nd coil went out 2 weeks later. Very mild buck and power loss under load. Felt like 150hp.

Your dealer is dumb if they can't diagnose this especially when coils were a problem on ALL VW and AUDI models. Did you do the recall?????? It's free.

i had this problem on mine and it was a faulty coilpack. A while back some models had a recall on them.

All models had the recall. In different stages Audi has recalled them all into the early 2000's i believe. If you have a problem it usually starts at the coil if you never had yours done.

I'm not sure all of them have the coil pack recall. Mine is a 2007 A4, the dealer checked my VIN number and said mine is not affected. I'm at 43K, haven't seen the coil pack issue symptoms so far either.

It's probably some batches?
