New Spring in Stock strut?

Default New Spring in Stock strut?

Hey guys... i have the 06 B7.. i am just wondering if i install the Eibach Pro Kit Spring will itmess up myStock Strut?

No it should be fine. But you should eventually get shocks and not just go the cheap way.

the shocks will prematurely fail but how long will they last

I have heard they can last 80k plus but you should just upgrade the whole thing.

Hi. I just installed Eibach Pro springs on my '06 A4, 2.0T.I retained the stock shocks. I had the basic suspension. It dropped the car about 1.5 inches. Just right for me. there is still a small wheel well gap. The surprising thing was that the ride quality improved! It is smoother now. The body roll greatly reduced without being harsh. I have about 1000 miles on the car with the new springs, and I love the feel now. Good luck. BTW there are some great DIYs on replacing the springs. One thing that helped me hugely with the rears was a little silicone spray lube to help the springs slide in to place. Good luck. I am eager to hear your impressions of the swap...
