Default Rear badge removal

2008 A4 Avant: the badges on the back (2.0T, etc).

Are they held on with adhesive, or are there holes in the body panels? I'd like to remove them.

Heat gun or hair dryer nice and warm. Run fishing line behind and it will go through like butter if its been heated. Adhesive remover, goo be gone or such for residue. A little wax to finish it off.

It might, but you'd probably be allright if you did it quickly and then wiped with a damp cloth.

Vegetable oil will help remove the crazy glue, just soak it for a bit, however I am not 100% sure if it would affect your paint...

I have never had an issue with those products eating paint or clear coat. Its meant to remove stickey stuff from nicer surfaces.
