Default Rear Bumper Cover Replacement - 2005.5 A4 2.0T

Hello there!
So I got into a little incident in a parking lot that left my rear bumper cover damaged on my 2005.5 A4. I've attached pics below.

It's a bit unsightly, but not devastating, obviously. But still, I'd like to get it taken care of. So I took it to a nicely-reviewed local body shop, and the estimate was about $1200 to replace and install a new bumper cover (!!!). This was for an aftermarket part, OEM would be even more costly. They advised against covering/filling the holes with an epoxy or something and said it wouldn't last long.

This calculator: Cost to Replace Audi A4 Rear Bumper - 2013 Cost Estimates
actually indicates that's a fairly good deal (though way more than I want to pay).

The guy at the shop also said if I found a replacement bumper cover on my own, they'd be happy to install it. I haven't had luck finding anything locally (I'm in Southern California). And there are some options on ebay, but I'm hesitant to spend $500 for the part (including shipping) for something that might not be in much better shape than what I already have.

I've also found some lower cost aftermarket parts (the one on the estimate was about $550), but am not sure about how durable these are or how well they fit.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience about this?

Any knowledge of good aftermarket bumper covers?

Any Southern CA resources for a part that I might not know about? Or online ones?

Are there other options I'm neglecting to think of?

Thanks so much for your help!

Once those covers are damaged they need to be replaced as repairing them will almost always look like crap.

You could try ECStuning.com to see if thay have anything.

Thanks. I checked there the other day, the only one they have comes to pretty much exactly the same price quoted by the body shop.

I thought the body shop was quoting for an aftermarket cover; the ECStuning part is Audi/VW part. Not sure it that matters or if I read that wrong. Amazing that a big piece of plastic costs that much.
