Default S Line suspension

Anyone know if the S Line suspension is different than a normal suspension? IE. lower, stiffer?

the sport suspension option makes the car overall stiffer but it doesn;t affect hieght....the s-line package that comes with the newer 08 special edition a4's are dropped to the same hieght as an s4

I have an 08 S-line and it feels stiffer than my last a4 which was an 06 without sline package and it sits lower too

i don't know about the ride height so you will have to go with dmfan for that one, but i do know that the S-line suspensions is certainly stiffer than the stock A4 suspension

I read somehwere that the '08 A4 B7 S-Line Sport Suspension sits about 2.4cm/0.9" lower than stock. I can't say if it's stiffer or not, because I haven't driven an A4 B7 non S-Line Sport Suspension vehicle.

The spring rate is higher, meaning its stiffer. The tighter the coil is made the lower the car will be in return. The S-line is only slightly lower than stock, but it is lower.

If you look at the pictures towards the bottom of the first post here the sport suspension definitely looks lower.

Thanks eMacPaul, I can see the difference. I saw a guy on ebay had a s-line suspension set up for sale and wanted to know if it would be worth the money and effort over a set of drop springs.

Yeah, the sport suspension is a nice (well, fun... not exactly soft, but not too hard, either) ride. And since you've got the swaybar, you'll be good to go, taking crazy turns!

it all depends on what type of a setup you want jason, and how low you want you ride to sit around your new rims really. it also depends if you want a new set-up as well or you are happy buying a used one (im assuming) or u want a new one
