Took my car to the dealership today for 40,000mi service and they CRASHED IT!!!
Did you have an option to buy the car back from the insurance? I know sometimes they will sell it to you for cheap if you want to use it for the parts...I guess this is another good reason to perform work on your own car if you can...

I'm glad you got it all resolved. I've heard so many stories about mechanics/techs in shops, dealers, etc. This is one of the more extreme cases but this is exactly why nobody touches my vehicles.
Keep in mind for what you pay to have your vehicle serviced you could have bought all the special tools and done it yourself. Still usually cheaper. And next time you need to do it all you need to buy are the parts.
Use this forum as a resource so you can start doing all the work yourself. Keep receipts of purchases and a nice black little log book in your garage. My log book is massive but thats because I've owned this truck over 10 years and I do all maintenance myself.
Again glad you got it all resolved. Any pics of the new ride?
Yes, my wife and I loved our car a lot, but Audi definitely didn't win us back this time around given the circumstances.
Haha... I at least kept it German. I challenged myself to test the field of 09 sedans, and the 335i was (by far) the most fun to drive while keeping some sanity in fuel economy (quite comparable to the 2.0T quattro without a lead foot). Insurance was also a tad less.
It looks totaled to me. They will need to pay for full replacement as well as the extended warranty. It won't be the same but that is about all your gonna get from them. I would indeed contact your ins right away and get them started on the "negotiations". Good luck and remember it can always be worse. At least you or yours were not in it.

Sorry guys... know it's been 2 months, but here are finally some pics of the new ride. Enjoying every minute of it.

I kind of wanted that car but just not as practical as my Audi...
