Trouble Cranking over when Starting
Each morning when I start my 2006 3.2 A4, the ignition cranks for a long time before starting. It always starts, but when the car has been sitting for longer periods, it doesn't start right away.
Throughout the day, it starts normally and cranks over at the normal fast speed. Any ideas why this is happening?

I know this is a common problem with the 2.0T but I don't have much experience with the 3.2. I have posted some info regarding this in the past, but there was a TSB Audi issued for the 2.0T for 2005.5 - 2007 model years that attempted to fix this problem by reflashing the ECM..... I will say that it now doesn't take quite as long to start on cold days, but it is still longer starting times when cold than when warm. Check with the dealer on any known TSBs for the 3.2 and get your car updated. Good luck
If it's been doing this for the last two days, then battery is still a possibility. If it's been doing this for the past week, then the battery would have died by now.
I just replaced the battery in my car (just bought it has about 60,000 miles). When it was on it's way out, it took longer to crank than normal. After driving for a while, the next crank would be easier. Eventually it didn't crank at all.
I bought a replacement at walmart (cheapest option out there).

If the engine cranks it is not the battery. The main cause of an engine not starting when the engine is cranked is 1. little or no spark from the spark plugs and/or 2. little or no fuel from the fuel pump and/or 3. little or no air via the air filter system.
