A friend of mine was minutes away from SCRAPPING what was thought to be an Audi S4 however it turned out to be an 2004 A4 Cabriolet masquerading as an Audi S4! (it has a few of issues and the dashboard lights up like a christmas tree therefore not getting fixed)

After extensively rebuilding my Audi A4 2005.5, so many parts have been changed it's practically a new car, I was wondering how to upgrade and exchange certain parts from the donor car. The part which I seem stuck on is the Multi Function Steering Wheel. The wheels look to be identical in their style however the one on the "S4" is a MFSW. My A4 has had cruise control added a few years back and the module of the steering wheel was upgraded to allow for this. Does this mean that it can take MFSW if it also takes Cruise control? If not can I just take the module from the S4 too? Thoughts greatly appreciated.

I don't know the answer just going to throw in another wrinkle. The "S4" wheel is also from an automatic with the paddle shifters. Guess, at best, those would just be unusable on your manual car don't know if that would some how impact the other controls..

 

Ugh, I do mind the mouldy steering wheel pic. How would you like to see the curb rash on my wheels?

I understand the attraction of the S4 wheel, but the paddle shifters sap the value of the upgrade a little.
