I currently live in the US. So in the US, the B8 was released in 2008 or 2009? Also which one is better (2008 and 2009)? What are the differences?

 

The B8 is 2009+ in the US. I like them both, but they made a few improvements to smooth out the 2.0TFSI engine. I also like the body styling of the B8. The interior is pretty radically different as well and I believe the car is a tiny bit longer. If the money is about the same, I'd probably go with a B8 at this point. I couldn't afford one when I bought mine (2010). Might also want to check out what the folks over in the B8 forum are saying about known issues.

 

i have a 2008 and its the last year for the B7. i cant tell you much about the B8 but it does have quite a different body style, with more LED lights etc. as for which is better, i guess it comes down to the options and what you want. older will be cheaper but you might not find the options you want. sorry if thats too vague but idk the mechanical differences if there are any major ones.
