What type of fuel should I put in?

I have a 06 2.0t and I know that premium fuel should be used but with prices so high can i use regular gas?
does it make a difference? What do you guys think?

Hi Herm,
Although it calls for premium it is not required. It is just a caveat for the vehicle's best proformance.There is a slight difference, i.e., a slight lug and hesitation on take of and acceleration. The car reads the 87 octane levelsand tunes back a little. It is quite ok to substitute it with 87during the crunch. Noworries.

use what is recommended: premium from a top tier outlet. google up top tier.

Use Premium gas only in your TURBOCHARGED car. Cause if you use 87 your car's gonna start knocking and running rough which will throw a CEL.
Ifsomething happens to the car and the dealer knows your notusing Premium. They'll VOID your warranty which means you'll have to pay out of pocket for any repairs.

Also among the other things mentioned your gas milage will go down too which is defeating the purpose of using cheaper stuff.
