Exclamation Wheel offset? Help!!

I have a 2007 a4 Sline and will be putting new rims on. If I get 20x8.5 rim should I get a 32mm offset or a 42mm offset. I want the wheels flush with the fenders. If someone can help it would be greatly apprieciated.

32 may stick past or be very close. Generally you want a 38-42. I would get the 42 and if it is not perfect they make safe spacers now a days. Pretty much whatever mm you need.

ET42 would be closer to fitting properly than 32. Most of the factory wheels for the B7 that are 8" wide use a 40mm offset so the additional .5" width on a 42mm offset wheel might require a spacer to get closer to say 38mm for proper fitting.

Out of curiosity, what type/size of tires are you putting on those rims?
