Default Why does my AC do this?

So i have noticed that when i stop at a red light and my AC is on, it seems to not blow out cold air but regular outside air. When i start going again the cold air kicks back on. Why does it do this? I get flippin' hot in TEXAS!

of course that [posts no problem, check your ECON button, if not then its just your ac sucking in hot engine air from within the bay

It supposes to do that to save gas, read your manual.

This is normal...most cars do this. The belt from the engine runs the compressor...as the engine revs, so does the compressor...so at idle, your compressor is running slower. Same principle as when your battery is weak.....and your car is at a traffic light at night...your lights dim...when you accelerate the lights go back to bright....the alternator is on the same belt.
