I have 2007 A4. Looked on the forum and Youtube, but cant find the answer to this.

The window switch has gone faulty. REsult is that I can control open and close of all windows from driver seat, but none of the passengers can control their windows. I have purchased a new window switch for driver door as the current one has the window "lock" light constantly lit. If you push the button, the lock light goes off, while pressed, and then turns back on when you release the button.

What I need to find out is a way to replace the current switch with a new one. i have ordered and received a replacement switch.

Mines been broken the same way (always locked) since shortly after I bought the car. I've never cared enough to bother with it since I'm the only one in the car 90% of the time.

I assume you have to take the door panel off. You might search for speaker replacement videos to try and find out how to do that if that's where you're stuck.

 

Do a google search on 2007 A4 window switch replacement, I believe there is a website out there that shows you the steps on how to replace it.
