really? thats awful, was it in the side wall or a nail? did you have to replace the tire or could they fix it?

 

It's in the sidewall. Took a turn to close and hit a curb. So far I'll I've done is put on the full size spare. But the tire was looking pretty bald, anyway, so I'll probably just get a new set.

 

o ok. i almost had a very bad experience similar to that... long story short, there was a car tunring in the turning lane and i was going stright in the lane next to it. for some reason before the turned they decided to make it wide and move to the right before turning left so i had to quickly swerve to the side to avoid the b**** and consequently hit the sidewalk and the sewer drainage thing on the side that jutted out and took out a chuck of my side wall and a nice bit of my rim. I was scared shitless cuz i thought i had f***ed my rim cuz it sounded terrible, but luckily it didn't even puncture the tire
