Hello Audi Family,

I have purchased an Audi A4 B8 FL 2,0 TDI S-line on November 27, 2014.
I had specifically customized my order with an additional supplement of BLUETOOTH and BANG-OLUFSEN speakers to be able to stream audio from the iPhone to the Audi’s BANG-OLUFSEN speakers. The telephone communication through AUDI’s speakers works via BLUETOOTH fine, but AUDIO MUSIC does not stream.

My current Audi software is the one it came with: 8K0-998-961 (5.5.70)

If I upgrade my software to a newer version, will I be able to have BLUETOOTH listed in the "Sources" portion? Is it an easy PLUG & PLAY system?

Hi Hanzo - I just purchased an A4 myself. I believe the issue is that the models do not support the A2DP bluetooth profile, hence no audio streaming is possible. I was able to connect my iPhone to the car but only with phone capabilities. I ended up going to the Apple store and picked up a 30-pin to lighting converter in order to play my music. However, it's a bit cumbersome so I just ordered the ViseeO Tune2air as recommended here https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b8-...-audio-166454/

I had researched about the plug that goes in the Glove Box, unfortunately I couldn't find any plug-in option in it!! Currently, I use earphone plug to earphone plug AV, but I feel that the sound quality through bluetooth will sound much better on the Bang & Olufsen speakers.
Any idea if I update the Audi Software, I'll be able to have the AMI option through bluetooth?

Shame on Audi venders for not notifying their customers about Audio options of such kind, especially when they order EXTRA quality speakers.

 

Try the viseeo tune2air from viseeousa.com. It is a very simple BT (a2dp) that works with most vehicles with iPod integration. I have the WMA3000A, I am able to stream music via bluetooth, can control, pause, play , next music using steering wheel control.
