2010 A4 Telephone Module in Water Mystery
Oh this is a strange story. Almost immediately after the first oil change, we started to experience all kinds of weirdness and failure with the MMI. Bluetooth and IPOD would not work. MMI would reboot intermittently. Sound would cut out when listening to FM or SD Card.
Months ago we had the car to a different dealer and faults showed up on the technicians laptop when plugged into diagnostics port. We scheduled an appt. but then my father passed away and we had to postpone.
This week I had the car in for second oil change (early) and to cut to the chase, the mechanic finds the telephone module cover (under pass. seat, btw) not properly fitted and the telephone module sitting in water!
We have approx. 11k miles on the car. It has been treated very gently. I can't understand how water can get inside the cabin without it being noticed. Unless it is following a path I am not aware of.
Does anyone have any ideas on this mystery?!
