Default 2010 A4 - Unlock, Open Door and then....

I just got a new (to me) 2010 A4 Premium Plus. When I unlock the door (single press on the keyfob) and then open the door. I hear an electrical sound coming from what sounds like the trunk area. Similar to a sound of a seat moving into position.

Just curious what this sound is? Anyone out there that can help a new owner?

Default weird that its loud enough to notice

The gas cap locks when the car is locked, maybe you are hearing the gas cap unlock. I never noticed it though. If its loud enough to notice maybe its something else.

Default

It does it even when unlocked. I read on some other forums that it was the fuel pump priming itself for action.

Default ive gotten used to that

I hear a similar noise when i unlock the car, i guess ive just gotten used to it. I cant answer what it is but I think i know what you're talking about so you can rest assured that its normal.

If any doubts just drive up to any audi service department and show them. im sure you wouldnt need an appt, should be something easy to show them real quick.
