2012 Audi A4 Allroad - head light 3rd party options
Hi,
I'm getting a new shape A4 Allroad next week on lease, can't wait!
Only thing is I wished I'd opted for the zenon upgrade (about 1k extra!) which also had the nice curved daytime leds.. :-(
Does anyone know any upgrade options from any 3rd party? I'm thinking?:
1/ Change the headlight bulbs for ones which are more white? if you know what I mean?
2/ The small daylight bulbs as standard appear a bit yellow - any idea if these can be changed to whiter/brighter ones or led in fact?
any advice, much appreciated...

Car makers often give models introduced in one year the model year of the next. Are you in Europe? Pricing and availability for the Allroad hasn't yet hit the US.
You can probably get "whiter" bulbs - in the US, the Sylvania Silverstars are popular, but I would argue against blue bulbs. Not only do they perform worse, they make it obvious you changed bulbs because they look so fake. A good HID looks white, not blue.
What percentage of the car cost would the Xenon upgrade have been? I have factory HIDs on my Saab and won't buy another car without them. There are HID retrofit kits for many cars, perhaps for the A4 as well. I have read of mixed experiences using these, though.

Sounds about right for an option - according to an Ireland pricing guide I see, the suggested price is as much as EUR1633.
How do you like the car otherwise? I am hoping to be able to buy one when it hits the states.
